Christian Indie Publishing Association (CIPA) is pleased to announce the winning titles for the 2021 Christian Indie Awards. Since 2008 the Christian Indie Awards has honored books produced by small publishers and independent authors for their outstanding contribution to Christian life.
I designed my first published book cover while still in college and began a freelance career doing so a few years later, in 1993. Through my company, TLC Book Design, I’ve coached hundreds of independent authors through the book creation process, teaching them about the importance of producing a well-edited, professionally designed and produced book. A question that I often receive as the founder of Spark Media, a company that helps Christian podcasters launch, grow, and maintain their shows is this: “Misty, I want to start a podcast, but where do I begin?” When CIPA director Susan Neal asked me to contribute to the blog, I immediately knew the advice I would give to Christian authors, small publishers, and others who may have an interest in hosting a podcast.
